ASUU Might Go On Strike Again (Read Details)

Members of the Educational Workers Union of Universities ASUU has given the Federal authorities a three-week ultimatum to deal with its lingering calls for or face one other strike motion.

The Senior Workers Affiliation of Universities and the Non-Educational Workers Union of Universities met right now to deliberate the following strikes over the failure of the Federal Authorities to fulfill the union’s calls for.

Recall that final 12 months, the Federal Authorities signed a memorandum of understanding with the unions, promising to meet calls for starting from fee of earned allowances, the introduction of the UTAS platform for College employees in addition to the fee of revitalization fund for Universities amongst others.

Talking on the College of Abuja right now November 15, the Nationwide President of the Union, Professor Emmanuel Osodeke, lamented the failure of the Federal Authorities to take care of the wants of the union.

“We’re giving the Federal Authorities a three-week ultimatum, if after three weeks they don’t meet our calls for, we shall be happening strike. We imagine we have now tried sufficient by giving them sufficient time.”Osodeke mentioned

Recall that the union had known as off its nine-month-old strike in December 2020.

The Federal authorities is but to reply to this menace.
